America is ... well. We are in quite the place, aren’t we. We originally published this July 4th playlist last year, thinking the country couldn’t possibly devolve further into chaos, and how wrong we were!

But one thing time has shown is that this playlist is as relevant (and enjoyable) as ever. So. If you find “Fight the Power” more patriotic than “God Bless the U.S.A.,” if you think it’s one thing to love America but it’s another to act like its obsessive boyfriend, then we have an Independence Day playlist for you.

We have easy barbecue jams like “Party in the U.S.A.” and “Young Americans,” and songs that dig deeper like “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” and “Killing in the Name.” You can play it on Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube.
